Exploring Arduino

I recently bought an Arduino microcontroller board. I love this inexpensive solution with all of the abundant software support. I had previously played with an experimenter's board using a PIC processor, but Arduino is definitely easier to use and cheaper.

I have done several experiments so far:

  • The first experiment was to develop a method to characterize the delay of a remote camera shutter request to the actual 1st and 2nd camera's curtains.
  • The second was around using the NunChuk controller with Arduino. In this I also decided to see if I could trace i2C traffic between the NunChuk and the WiiChuck remote.

I will post more information about these in the near future.
